Hat Saver repels sweat, water, dirt, and oily stains on all types of hats, including baseball caps, golf hats, straw hats, tennis hats, visors, cowboy hats, bucket hats, and all other types of head coverings.
It may be used on all colors of smooth leathers and suede and all fabrics. Hat Saver is the only product of its kind designed specifically to protect your hat from sweat penetration and permanent stains while allowing your hat to breathe. The Hat Saver formula does not seal the hat, rather allows it to breathe, providing you continual comfort and optimal stain protection while wearing the hat.

DIRECTIONS: DO NOT SPRAY ON HEADBAND ON INSIDE OF HAT. Hat should be dry and clean. Recommend use on new hats. Hold bottle 2-3 inches from hat. Spray 3 coats evenly only over the outside of the hat where sweat can accumulate, specifically where the bill and hat connect. Spray until you can see the fabric becoming wet. Do not soak. Wait till dry in between applications. Be sure all areas are fully covered. After final coat, allow to dry 18 hours before wearing. Periodic applications continue to improve repellency. If using on a previously worn hat, be sure to clean it free of sweat and dirt prior to use. Use in a well-ventilated are away from heat and flame. Do not use while smoking.

Start With a New or Clean Dry Hat

Trash, don’t waste your money. I bought a brand new hat and followed the instructions precisely and after two wears it now has yellowish sweat stains that look worse than the normal white salt sweat stains.

Not sure I read what I was purchasing but I have a couple hats that had sweat stains on them. I have used almost the entire bottle on two hats and they still have the stains.

I have always used Scotchgard, I can no longer find it so after looking around I found Hat Saver. I have used it on 3 hats and so far it has worked as advertised. Summer will be the true test but at this point I have no reason to doubt the results.

I have many Melin hats… they aren’t cheap. I heard about HatSaver and I was all for it in hopes it would help preserve my investment. WOW!!! It works. They show no sweat rings and they stay clean. I tried it on 2 hats, it ruined a Titleist hat.
Hat Saver does not ruin hats. If applied properly by using 3 light coats letting it dry in between coats, then letting it cure for at least 18 hours, it will work perfectly. But the key is to let it cure to be effective. Also, it needs to be put on a new hat. It looks like your hat only has stains on the back of it.
100% this works. All of our hats we have treated have stayed in great shape, especially the hat my son plays his games in. We treated one but not the other and the treated one after 30 games or so is still “presentable” but the other untreated one with about the same games on it - looks awful - stain marks on bill, on back of hat and on front of hat. Hat Saver is highly recommended
I got 2 new white golf hats and I sweat a lot and didn't want to ruin them first time wearing them . Seen Hat Saver on Instagram and decided to give it a shot . I treated one of my hats and played 36 holes in 75° weather and so far I'm impressed. Will update later in the summer but for now I think this is the cure for my sweaty head ruining hats .

I usually ruin my hats in the first couple of wears because of how much they sweat through. Hat saver has been a game changer so far, the hat I’ve out it on has no sweat stain and I’ve been sweating bullets here in TX. So this stuff works! I’ll definitely be buying more in the future once I’m out of these 2 bottles. Remember to reapply once in a while.
Best Thing The Save Your Hat. 8 uses, you wipe it with a rag or scrub with a toothbrush then 2 layers and it's good again. A+++++++
